MISSION

As an artist my mission is to create images using a straight forward approach which can

be viewed in my latest paintings and photographs. A spontaneous reaction to what I see without manipulation.

I want my work to express my reactions and interpretations of the subjects that are built up from

within. As a result the viewer is presented with the reality of the image developing a sense of place. 

My latest series of paintings are created using photographs I have made in Italy over the past

several years. My drawings exhibit images and manipulation of space on paper. A selection of drawings use designs

from ancient churches in Italy.

The documentaries I create tell stories that include historical information about people and places by going on

location and conducting interviews. An important part of the projects is  sharing the images and the information collected

with the public. This is done through photo exhibitions, video, public television, and in archival collections at various

locations. Part of my documentary work has been aired on Rhode Island PBS and Connecticut Public Television.
